Dr. Miranda Collins, O.D.
Dr Collins is from South Florida and moved to Virginia in 2010. She received her Bachelors degree from Florida Atlantic University and she received her optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2009. She also had her residency training at the Muskogee Veterans Hospital Medical Center (Oklahoma) and was completed in 2010. She is a new addition to our Norfolk office. Dr. Collins likes to enjoy the outdoors with her dog and spending outings with family and friends.

Dr. Steven Chado, O.D.
Dr. Steven Chado has lived in Frederick, Maryland with his wife Beverly Chado and their three children for the past 27 years. Family Optometric Associates P.C was founded by Dr. Chado in 1992. Dr. Chado has been practicing in Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania for the past 27 years. He graduated from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1983. After working in a private practice, he established practices at the Norfolk Naval Exchange, Stafford, Virginia and Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

Dr. Timothy Edwards, O.D.
Dr. Timothy Edwards graduated in 1979 from Towson State University in Towson, Maryland and received his O.D. from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia (currently known as Salus University). He has been with Family Optometric Associates P.C since February of 1994, and has been practicing in our Stafford location since December of 1995. Dr. Edwards is licensed to practice optometry in Florida, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington D.C. Dr. Edwards’s hometown is Churchville, Maryland. He now resides in Springfield, VA with his wife Nancy; who he has been married to for 24 years. His interests include gardening, cooking, books, movies, and music.

Dr. Natalie Macke, O.D.
Dr. Natalie Macke is the newest doctor to join the team at Family Optometric. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. Dr. Natalie specializes in refractive vision care and ocular disease, is certified to use therapeutic pharmaceutical agents to treat glaucoma, iritis, "red eye' and other anterior eye diseases, and has experience caring for pre-operative and post-operative cataract and LASIK patients
Her husband is in the Army and they were stationed here in Hawaii two years ago, but plan to retire and remain on the lovely island of Oahu permanently. In their free time they love to sail, spend time with friends at the beach, and spoil their pug, Dinah.

Dr. Erik Mohaber, O.D.
Travel has long been a passion of Dr. Mohaber, and his chosen field of Optometry has allowed him several chances to relocate and see the world. The profession of Optometry was first introduced to Dr. Mohaber at the age of 12. His Godfather (a Manhattan Optometrist) tutored him in vision science at a young age. His Undergraduate education was completed at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, which Dr. Mohaber graduated from in 1998. Then Dr. Mohaber moved to Philadelphia to begin his optometric education at Salus University which he graduated from in May of 2002. Then Dr. Mohaber moved again this time to Connecticut to attend a residency in Low Vision at the West Haven VAMC. The training was thorough and the experience was invaluable.
Along the way Dr. Mohaber worked in the Peten region of Guatemala giving eye care to the indigenous people & several work opportunities where the doctor consulted with other eye care professionals from Spain, Norway, Germany, Singapore & Korea.

Dr. Stacey Tullis, O.D.
"Dr. Tullis is originally from Wyoming and she received her undergraduate degree from Colorado State University where she studied Health and Exercise Sciences. She recently graduated from Southern California College of Optometry in May of 2015 and moved to Maryland to be our new addition to the Bethesda and Ft Meade offices. During her free time, Dr. Tullis strives to stay healthy and active by participating in outdoor activities such as hiking, trail running, paddleboarding, and sand volleyball

Dr. Kathleen VanHorn, O.D.
Dr. Katie VanHorn is a Pennsylvania native who recently moved to Alexandria to join the FOAPC team. She is a proud alumna of Penn State University and earned her doctorate from Pennsylvania College of Optometry. In addition to providing comprehensive eye care and getting to know her patients, her professional interests include contact lens fitting and geriatrics. Her personal interests are yoga, trying new foods, being outdoors, coffee, and spending time with friends and family. She can be found at our Belvoir, Stafford, and Bethesda locations
